![]() ![]() Future Campaign Passes may be time-limited or permanent, based on the update. Unlike normal battle passes, the Campaign Pass for the Winter War has no time limit- no worries about FOMO. The free Campaign Pass includes 300 crowns as a reward. The Campaign Pass is free for everyone, but it also has a premium track for those who want to upgrade to get premium unlocks, which costs 1,000 crowns (premium currency). The Winter War Update also adds the Quarterstaff, a returning weapon from Chivalry: Medieval Warfare.Īlso, with the Winter War Update, Chivalry 2 is introducing its own version of a battle pass, the Campaign Pass. This VIP must be protected at all costs – his death means the Masons win the match. The top player on team blue (Agatha) will be crowned king and get to control King Argon. Pointing out the negatives here in hopes of fixes but want to point out that this content update is very, very impressive.King Argon II isn’t just an NPC, however. Needless to say, I prefer a fair fight instead of one that's about abusing exploits and with the general lack of sportsmansship present in the player base this becomes a real problem. In 'high level' play against skilled opponents, I find that most players will try to beat me by exploiting these things. I'm talking about stuff like looking into the ground to make yourself a lower target, jumping while swinging a two-handed weapon, Vanguard being able to instantly turn around on a dime and still be able to perform his 'momentum' attack, crossbowmen looking into the air while reloading so that they'll be able to look normally, not at the ground while performing the actual reload animation and more. These are all highly annoying and I persistenly die to these bugs during play.ģ) Also about movement: Exploit moves - these haven't been fixed/removed. Archers and their zoom also have huge issues where you can get stuck in zoomed in mode, be unable to switch away from bow and more. Worse, it isn't just sprint that doesn't function properly like this, it's also blocks. ![]() Instead, your button press will often be disregarded and you'll have to release, then hold again the sprint button in order to start running. This is hard to describe in full, but for instance, if I hold down my sprint button, the character should *always* resume running as soon as whatever other actions I've ordered (attacks, jumps, etc) are finished. The flail could potentially be one of the most graphically impressive weapons if they fix it.Ģ) No fixes for broken controls. Really hope they fix it - this looks like something out of a bad/early mod, not a professional game. Chain also clips through stick end of weapon. It looks absolutely ridiculous - as if the spike is made out of paper and carries no weight, flailing (pardon pun) wildly around and flying up in the air at the slightest movement. The main things I'm unhappy about with the patch so far are:ġ) Flail animations. This is like a mini expansion pack for free! Torn Banner my be commended! Once I got everything up and running, though, patch impressions are good, very good. ini files because a bug causes your character to turn while strafing when trying to use arrow keys for controls - highly annoying. Also, the patch has failed to improve keybinding status - it works extremely poorly, moreso for left-handers like myself who are forced to manually edit. This left me with the impression the game had been drastically slowed which is not the case. The problem was that the patch caused all settings to be reset, including field of view. I reported that my initial impressions of the patch were very negative. I should have taken my own advice yesterday and waited to give my opinion. ![]()
